"Aldon Lodge Apartment is located away from the main road and is accessible via a long driveway. It is surrounded by fields where sheep roam freely. There are no other houses nearby so it's the perfect location for a quiet holiday. For walks nearby, Abernethy National Nature Reserve is just across the road from Aldon Lodge. Loch Garten and Loch Mallachie are a short 5-minute drive away. The apartment was cosy, warm and well equipped. Check-in and check-out were hassle free. The host replied promptly when contacted and gave clear directions to Aldon Lodge days before the check-in date. I highly recommend Aldon Lodge for a stress free vacation."

I had the most amazing week in Aldon Lodge. It is a beautiful, clean, spacious apartment with lovely views. It is a bit out of Aviemore but I loved the peace and quiet and the place was cosy and warm. I'd planned to drive into Aviemore or Boat of Garten to eat most nights but ended up staying in and cooking in the really well equipped kitchen (everything I needed was provided) because it felt so nice to be there at the end of a big day of walking. The location is gorgeous, surrounded by fields and sheep and just a few minutes walk to the big RSPB reserve, forest and lochs. The listing seems concerned about the wi-fi but it worked fine for me. I come to The Cairngorm's most years and Aldon Lodge is my new favourite place to stay.

"Wonderful place and service! Our family had an amazing time at this property. The host is gentle and experienced, and the house is very carefully prepared for a wonderful stay. It has a very good and well equipped kitchen from which you can interact with your family while they are in the cozy living room. The bedrooms are spacious and the view from the windows is just amazing. The location is also perfect! We could visit so many nearby lakes, parks, cities and villages while staying at this house, even the Loch Ness! We enjoyed eating in Aviemore and Boat of Garten, spending time with the children at the ski station on the Cairngorm Mountain, a day out at the Landmark Forest Adventure Park, visiting the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre and walking around the stunning Loch Morlich and Glenmore Forest Park. It was an amazing winter adventure and we felt at home, that is why we are planning to be back in the summertime too. A place where unforgettable memories were created!"
